Today we will be reviewing the 5.5-inch variant which comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Processor. Design and feel

There is no major improvement when it comes to the Zenfone 3 max design. The phone is crafted with metal all over and the Full HD display on the front. On the top, you can find the 3.5mm headphone jack and the noise cancellation mic. On the left, the sim slot is placed which is hybrid sim slot. The volume and the power button is placed on the right-hand side. The selfie camera, earpiece, and the sensor is placed on the top of the display while you can find the non-lit navigation buttons on the bottom.

To the rear side of the Zenfone 3 Max, you can find the Camera module which is surrounded by the Laser focus and dual LED Flash. Right below it, the fingerprint scanner is placed which is followed by the Asus Logo. The phone feels quite good in the hand and look little bulky as the phone is packed with a huge battery.

Display

The Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL comes with 5.5 inches Full HD display. The resolution of the phone is 1920 x 1080 pixels and 2.5 D contoured display glass makes the display even more beautiful. The display looks good when under the direct sunlight and the viewing angles are good enough. The colors look quite natural and there is nothing much to complain about the display.

Performance

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa Core processor which is clocked at 1.4 GHz. The processor is well supported by the 3GB RAM and Adreno 505 GPU. For the day to day performance, the Zenfone 3 Max manages to give the satisfied output. There are no lags on the regular usage or even on casual gaming. But you may notice little lags and frame drops while gaming at high graphics settings. The fingerprint scanner on the Zenfone 3 max works really well and does its job without any drawbacks. The call quality is good enough and the device is VoLTE enabled.

Camera

The Zenfone 3 Max comes with a 16MP primary camera with Dual LED Flash and Laser Auto Focus. The camera performance really well in the daylight and the output images look quite natural. The HDR mode helps a lot to capture an amazing shot if you are using the camera in the heavy sunlight condition. The night mode on the Asus Zenfone 3 helps to click some good looking night shots. The 8MP front camera does its job very well by clicking some perfect selfies and the beautification mode adds the cherry on the top. I will post some camera samples below for your better understanding of the camera.

Battery and OS

Asus Zenfone 3 Max review - Battery OS

There is nothing much to talk about the OS & UI of the Asus Zenfone 3 Max. The UI and the operating system feels similar to its previous version and there is no major upgrade. The ZF3 Max runs on the Android Marshmallow 6 with Asus ZenUI 3.0 on the top. The Zenfone 3 max comes with 4100 mAh non removable battery but sadly it does not have the fast charging capability. The battery lasts for the one full day on heavy usage and it can last up to 2 full days on minimal usage very easily.
