As usual, the MWC16 ie Mobile World Congress 2016 has lots of expectation in terms of Flagship Smartphones and innovative design. In this post, we are going to write down the list of Android Flagship Smartphones that are launched in the MWC2016. LG G5

So the first Smartphone that got the attention at the MWC 2016 was the LG G5. The LG G5 has made a stepping stone to the Project Ara in the Flagship as the phone has the modular design. The LG G5 features the 5.3 inches display with the 2K resolution which is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Phone is powered by the latest Chipset of Snapdragon 820 and has 4GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. The internal storage of the LG G5 is 32GB which can be further expanded up to 200 GB using a Micro SD card. The LG G5 sports 16GB rear camera with f/1.8 aperture + 8MP rear camera with f/2.4 aperture. It also has 8MP secondary front camera with 1080p video recording capability.

The LG G5 comes with the Fingerprint scanner at the rear side placed just below the camera. The company have finally killed the plastic design and given the metallic finish to its most last Flagship. The Lg G5 has 2800 mAh removable battery and the battery module can be removed and used with some other module such as LG G5 camera and the speaker module.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

The next big announcement made at the MWC 2016 was the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. After lots of expectation from Samsung, the company did not provide anything innovative this time. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge looks same as the S6 and S6 Edge in terms of design. Talking about the Specification of the device, the Galaxy S7 sports the 5.1 inch Super AMOLED Display whereas the S7 Edge sports the 5.5-inch dual curved edge display. Both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB RAM. Both the phones comes with 32GB and 64GB variant and finally, the Samsung has brought back the Micro SD Card support to its Flagship Smartphones.

Now moving ahead to the Camera department, both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge has the 12MP rear camera with the f/1.7 aperture with OIS and 4K video recording feature. The front camera of the phone is 5MP with the f/1.7 aperture. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge has the IP68 certificate which makes it water and dust resistance Flagship Smartphone. The Phone runs on the latest version of Android M Marshmallow 6.0. In terms of power, the Galaxy S7 has the 3000 mAh non removable battery and the S7 Edge has the 3600 mAh battery. Both the phones come with the fast charging and wireless charging feature. Some of the few difference between the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge are Screen size, Battery and obviously the price.

Gionee S8

Gionee has launched their latest Flagship Android Smartphone, Gionee S8 at the #MWC16. Talking about the Specifications of the device the Gionee S8 comes with the 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display and it also features the Force Touch similar to the iPhone 6S in terms of functionality. The phone has the  MediaTek’s octa-core Helio P10 processor and the 4GB RAM. The internal Storage of the device is 64GB and it can be expanded further. The Gionee S8 comes with the Fingerprint Scanner which is integrated into its home button.

The Gionee S8 has the 16MP rear camera with Laser Auto Focus and 8MP front facing Selfie Camera. The Phone has the Full metal body design and also the company claims that it is the world’s first invisible antenna design. The Gionee S8 has 3000 mAh non removable battery and feature the Fast Charging. Some of the other features are 4G LTE with VoLTE, DTS Audio, Android M 6.0.

HTC One X9

This time, the HTC have launched the HTC One X9 at the MWC 2016. The phone comes with the 5.5 inches 1080p Full HD display. It has Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 processor and 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 32GB and it can be expanded as well. The HTC One X9 has the 13MP rear camera with Laser Focus and OIS and 5MP front facing the camera. The phone runs on the lastest version of Android M 6.0 Marshmallow. It is the dual SIM smartphone and comes with the normal standard USB port. The HTC One X9 which was launched at the MWC 2016 has the 3,000 mAh non removable battery.

Xiaomi Mi5

After lots of rumors and expectations, Xiaomi has finally launched the Xiaomi Mi5 at the MWC 2016. Being the latest Flagship from the company, the Xiaomi Mi5 features the latest hardware. The phone has 5.15 inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass on the front and the rear side as well. The Xiaomi Mi5 is powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor which is supported by the 4GB RAM. It has 16MP rear camera with 4K video recording support and comes with 5MP front facing camera. The Mi5 comes in 32GB and 64GB variant and sadly there is no option for expandable memory. The device runs on the Android M Marshmallow with the MIUI on the top. The Xiaomi Mi5 comes with the Fingerprint scanner on the front and the phone is packed with 3,000 mAh non removable battery. To the quick charging option, the phone has Quick Charge 3.0 feature. The phone will be available from March 1st, 2016 in China and the launch date is not yet announced for India and other countries.
