Asus recently came up with series of Zenfone 4 Smartphones and the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro is one of them. The Selfie Pro is the Selfie centric smartphone from Asus with the dual front camera and a LED Flash. I have been using the device for more than three weeks now and here is my full review and thoughts on the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro.
Design & Look
The Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro metal unibody design and it feels quite comfortable to hold. To the disappointment, the phone does not have the 2017’s 18:9 display rather has the usual 16.9 ratio display. The fingerprint is placed on the front and the sensors, LED Flash, dual cameras takes up the top portion of the front side.
The volume and the power buttons are placed on the right side, while the SIM tray is placed on the left side of the phone. On the rear side, the primary camera with LED Flash and the Asus branding is placed. Also, you will get the transparent silicone case inside the which you use if you find the phone slippery.
The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro comes with 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 Pixels resolution. The phone has the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass and the display feels bright. There is no problem with view angles in the direct sunlight as well.
In terms of performance, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro is powered by the 2.0 GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Processor and 4GB of RAM. It also has 64GB of inbuilt storage and has external micro sd card support as well. The performance is pretty good as we all know how good is the Snapdragon 625 processor. It handles the multitasking very well and the high-end games are highly playable as well. However, you can notice the screen freeze sometimes but not very often.
The Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro’s point of sale is its camera. It has 24MP + 5MP secondary camera with LED Flash on the front as well. The camera interface has the many options to play with and some options are quite handy at times. You can switch between normal and the group selfie mode on the front camera.
The wide-angle lens captures the perfect group selfie. The picture quality is good but at times feels little artificial with some effects applied. The bokeh effect on the selfie was good but it lacks on the rear camera. The primary camera is 16MP and it requires a lot of improvements. Both the front and the rear camera are capable of recording 4k videos. Below are the few of the camera samples of the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro.
Though the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro has only 3000 mAh battery, the battery standby is very good. You can easily get through the day with the single charge. Also, the Fast Charging Technology your phone real quick.
Some of the other things that are worth mentioning are its speaker. The speaker is loud enough but the mic could not pick lots of sounds while recording videos. The cellular reception is good but not great. It comes with VoLTE supports and the phone gets lots of updates which is little annoying at times. The fingerprint scanner works really well but you find the problem if your hand is wet. The phone is quite good overall but the real question is does it worth 23,999 Rupees? Well, this totally depends on your requirements.
