Coolpad Note 3 Review
Look & Design
The Coolpad Note 3 looks great to the eyes which are close to no bezel display. There are three touch capacitive navigation buttons at the bottom which are sadly not backlit enabled. To the left of the phone, the volume button is placed and to the right the power button is placed which is tactile and easy to press. The 3.5mm earphone jack is placed on the top and the USB cable and Mic is found at the bottom of the smartphone. The speaker is placed at the bottom of the rear side and they sound decent.
The Camera with the Flash is placed at the rear side and just below the camera the Fingerprint scanner is placed. The rear panel is matt finished and it is nicely fixed to the phone. Inside the phone box, you will get the Charger Adaptor, USB Cable, Earphone and the user manual.
The Coolpad Note 3 comes with 5.5 inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The display looks bright and good and the viewing angles are great I would say. The color reproductions on the phone are good enough and it looks natural to the eyes. But I feel the Auto brightness of Coolpad Note 3 is not good at some time and I suggest you to use manual brightness and it would also save battery. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass, but I highly suggest you to use the tempered Glass to get extra protection. The Coolpad Note 3 also comes with the Multicolor LED night for the notification purpose.
The phone is all about its great performance. On the specification side, it comes with 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 MT6753 Mediatek Octacore processor along with the 3GB of RAM. The sufficient RAM on the board gives you the buttery performance and the multitasking is not a problem on this device. It also has Mali-T720 GPU which helps you to run the High Graphics games. I personally enjoy watching videos and movies on this phone because of its lag less performance.
Coming to the gaming performance of the phone, the Coolpad Note 3 does a great job here. It can able to handle the High-end games without any issues. The game does play good even on the high graphic settings, but I felt little warm near the camera region. Apart fro this there is no issue on minimal or normal usage and no lags observed while closing and opening the Apps. It has 16GB of internal Storage and it also have a slot to insert the memory card for expandable memory.

Having the 13MP rear camera on the Coolpad Note 3, I expected some good captures but the result is not that good. The images look very soft and the image processing is not great. But it could capture the decent quality image and the shutter speed is very quick I would say. If you want to good image then you can use the HDR mode or the PRO camera option. The Coolpad Note 3 can record 1080p videos and the output is pretty average and little shaky.
The Camera UI of the phone is very simple and few basic settings options. You also get some inbuilt effects and camera mode available. Some of the camera mode available in Coolpad Note 3 are Normal shot, Face beauty, HDR, Dimlight shot, Smile Shot, Panorama, and Gesture Shot.
UI & Fingerprint Scanner
The Coolpad Note 3 runs on the latest Android Lollipop 5.0 with the CoolUI on the top. The CoolUI looks very simple with some added features. But for regular usage I felt that Stock Android UI is way better. The Coolpad Note 3 has the MultiWindow feature using which you can access two Apps in a single screen at the same time. It also provides lots of Gesture options to open the favorite Apps fastly. There are some useless preinstalled Apps Xploree which cannot be uninstalled.
The Fingerprint scanner on the Coolpad Note 3 is absolutely awesome. I didn’t expect that it would work so accurately. It works 8 times out of 10 times I tried. I could able to unlock the device within half a second and even the placement of the fingerprint scanner is pretty good. You can even lock the Apps you want using the fingerprint lock option.
The Coolpad Note 3 has 3000 mAh battery which is not user removable. The battery life on the phone is quite awesome and it lasted for one full day on the normal usage. I got up to 5 hours of ON Screen Time which is great. If you are a heavy user then you need to charge you phone twice a day and there is no Fast charging feature as well. But considering the price, its not the issue to worry about.
The Coolpad Note 3 is dual SIM 4G smartphone and both the SIM supports 4G. Some of the other connectivity options are Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and everything works fine as per the expectation. Considering the Specifications and the price of the phone, it is one of the best phones below 10,000 Rupees. Coming to the pros and cons of the device some of the advantages of Coolpad Note 3 are Performance, Fingerprint scanner, Battery and the price. The disadvantages are its average camera, less service centers but still its a no brainer option below 10K. For more updates and Reviews follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
