Huawei suppresses Apple to crown 2nd largest Smartphone brand globally

According to a research from Counterpoint’s Market Pulse for July 2017, Huawei is the second largest Smartphone brand globally beating the giant Apple. Huawei has been growing rapidly for the past couple of year and now they have managed to sell more phone than Apple. The sales numbers of Huawei for the month of June and July are higher than Apple and it is expected to continue in August as well.

Not only Huawei, many other Chinese vendors are in the queue and OPPO is growing rapidly worldwide.”This is a significant milestone for Huawei, the largest Chinese smartphone brand with a growing global presence. It speaks volumes for this primarily network infrastructure vendor on how far it has grown in the consumer mobile handset space in the last three to four years. The global scale Huawei has been able to achieve can be attributed to its consistent investment in R&D and manufacturing, coupled with aggressive marketing and sales channel expansion.” quoted by Counterpoint’s Research Director Peter Richardson

Though Samsung had faced some fall with Note 7, the company is still at No.1 position. As Apple is ready to launch their next Smartphone, the iPhone 8, this position will change anytime soon.
