Earlier we heard some rumors about Pepsi heading into the Smartphone manufacturers. The rumors were not fake, Pepsi today launched Pepsi P1 and Pepsi P1s today in China. Pepsi has roped with Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment Co. Ltd to manufacture their Smartphone. They launched two variant, the basic variant is Pepsi P1 and the one that comes with FDD-LTE support is called Pepsi P1s. Here are some information, specifications and price details about the Pepsi P1 and P1s.

The phone comes with 5.5 inches  display with 1920*1080p pixels resolution and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The Pepsi P1 is powered by the 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor aided by 2GB RAM. It also has  Mali 450-MP4 GPU to support the graphics and gaming performance.

The Pepsi P1 and P1s comes with 13 Mega-Pixels rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and 5MP front camera. the internal storage of the device is 16GB and also has expandable Micro SD Card support. Some of the connectivity options are 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.1 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The Pepsi P1 comes with Fingerprint Scanner on the rear side just below the camera. Being the budget Smartphone, the Pepsi P1 would give tough competition for Coolpad Note 3 which is also a budget Android Smartphone with the fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on the Android Lollipop 5.1 with dido OS 6.1 on the top. It has 3,000 mAh battery to power the whole house.

Coming to the price segment, the Pepsi P1 the 4G LTE dual SIM smartphone is priced 699 Yuan in China which is around Rupees 7,200 in India. Once the phone gets launched in India, I am pretty sure it would give some serious competitions to others.
