Acer announced its Leap Ware smart fitness watch today at its next@acer global press conference in New York. The Smartwatch features the polished stainless steel circular frame with the stylish and sporty look. “As the pace of modern lifestyles become ever more hectic, people demand technology that can keep them on track and motivated to pursue their goals,” said MH Wang, General Manager, Smart Device Products.
The Smartwatch sports the 1.6-inch display with Corning®Gorilla® Glass SR+ which is capable of delivering superior scratch resistance. The Acer Leap Ware is equipped with the MediaTek MT2523 chipset and MT2511 bio-sensing chip. The Smartwatch can track the steps, monitor heart rate, stamina, stress/fatigue levels, and exposure to ultraviolet rays.
The Acer Leap Ware comes with IPX7[iii] water resistance certificate which can withstand incidental exposure to water of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. The watch bands are interchangeable and come in Navy Blue or Light Brown color. The watch is compatible with Android or iOS smartphone using an App called Liquid Life. The user can receive the phone notifications and caller information on the watch screen.
The Acer Leap Ware Smartwatch is said to deliver three days of battery life. The Acer Leap Ware will be available in North America in July with prices starting at $139
