Can we download Snapchat for Windows Phone?

Snapchat is an instant moment sharing Apps through photos and small Videos. It is one of the Most popular App, but Snapchat for Windows Phone is not available still. The Snapchat App is only available for Android and IOS platform and Windows Phone users are left unconcerned.

There are over millions of Windows Phone users but still, they are waiting for the official Snapchat App to be developed. So What’s the reason behind it? Is there any way to download Snapchat for Windows phone? Here is the complete thing you want to know about.

Can we download Snapchat for Windows Phone?

If are willing to buy a Windows phone, the first thing you want to consider is that all your favorite Apps are available there. One of the most high-profile gaps in the Windows Store is Snapchat. The Official Snapchat App is not yet developed for either WindowsPhone 7, 8 or even for Windows Phone 10.

Since it is one of the most famous App many users want to download Snapchat for Windows phone. So other Windows Phone developers took this as chance and tried to develop some third-party App similar to Snapchat. Some of the substitutes for Official Snapchat for Windows Phones are 6Snap, Swapchat and few other.

But even the third party Apps for Snapchat didn’t go well. After sometimes there was a serious security issue in Snapchat where huge numbers of user photos are made public. The Snapchat team thought that the third party Apps are the main reason for the security issue. At first, the team sends a notice to the 6Snap team and later the third party was removed from the Windows Store. The Windows Phone users left unhelped and still, they want to download Snapchat for Windows phone.

This doesn’t end here :\ Snapchat team made it even worse. The Snapchat website Feedback page had an option called “Support My incompatible device”. The WP users started to request Snapchat for Windows Phone through this option. After receiving a huge number of request from users, the Snapchat team removed the “Support my incompatible device” option from their feedback page.

From this, we are clear that Snapchat won’t be available soon on Windows Phone. Sadly there are no ways to download Snapchat for Windows Phone. The WP phone users should wait patiently for Snapchat official App on the Windows phone store. The team does not even have the public API so that it can be used to create new similar App with different codes. The Snapchat team should create their official App for Windows or at least make the public API

On May 16th, One person tweeted to Snapchat Support team, asking whether the Snapchat will be available for Windows Phone. The Support team replied back to him saying that ” There are plans to make it available in the future, we’ll give deets when that’s close. Hope this helps! 🙂 ”  But Now Snapchat Support team have deleted their tweet.

So it is clear that Snapchat won’t be available for Windows Phone user in the near future.  But if you guys know any way to use Snapchat on Windows phone then please explain it in the comment section below.
