Xiaomi has been teasing the launch of the Mix Mix successor, the Mi Mix 2. Today the company have launched the Mi Mix 2 globally at their event in Chinna. The Mi Mix 2 is the nearly bezel less Smartphone which they have marketed as “Full screen display”. Here are the some of the technical specifications, features and the price details of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.
Mi Mix 2 Specs and features
The Mi Mix 2 sports a 5.99-inch display with 18:9 ratio full-screen display. The resolution of the display is 2160×1080 pixels resolution with 403ppi pixel density. The phone is powered by the 2.45GHz Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB of RAM. The storage options available are 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB on the MI Mix 2.
Talking about the camera, the Mi Mix 2 sports the same camera as the Mi 6 and not the dual camera setup. It has a 12MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED Flash. some of the other features of the Mi Mix 2 camera are the Sony IMX386 sensor, 4-axis optical image stabilization (OIS) and 5P lens. There is a 5MP front camera which is placed at the bottom of the display. Xiaomi uses the special technology to hide the Speaker and the sensors below the display.
The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear side and it runs on the Andriod version 7.1. The Mi Mix 2 packs a 3,400mAh and has Quick Charge 3.0 support. Some of the connectivity options are WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, GPS and Type-C port. Unfortunately, the Mi Mix 2 lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, there is a special version of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with 8GB RAM and ceramic unibody design.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Price
The Mix Mix 2 with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at 3299 Yuan while the 128GB and 256GB variant is priced at 3599 Yuan and 3999 Yuan respectively. Looking at the design and specification the Mi Mix 2 will be a great competitor to the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 8. There are no words on the price and launch date of Mi Mix 2 in India. It is necessary to mention that previous Mi Mix is not launched in India yet and so we can’t expect the Mi Mix 2 anytime soon in India.

Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India has tweeted that Mi Mix 2 will be launching soon in India. But there are no words on the launch date and official pricing yet.
