Microsoft launched the Surface Book 2 back in November 2017 and was only available in the US. Microsoft has announced that the Surface Book 2 will be available in India and 16 more countries later this year. There is no official launch date yet and also there are no words on the pricing as well. Considering the US pricing the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be priced approximately Rupees 95673 for the 13-inch variant and Rs 127586 for the 15-inch variant.
With the launch of Microsoft Surface Book 2 in India, the company will compete directly with the Apple MacBook Pro. Since the MacBook Pro lineup is having some security flaws and keyboard issue, the Surface Book 2 can grab some of Apple’s market.
The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is available in two variant, the 13 inches lower variant packs Core i5-7300U processor and Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU. Even i5 processor version available with 8GB or 16GB RAM option and the storage options available are 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. Some of the connectivity options available are One Type-C port, two normal USB Type-A port, Headphone jack and SDXC card reader.
The 15 inch top variant of Surface Book 2 comes with Core i7-8650U (4.2GHz) processor, Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU, 16G RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage options. Both the model has a 5.0MP front camera which can shoot 1080p videos at 30 FPS and has an 8Mp rear camera with Autofocus. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 can be used as the stand-alone tablet or as a laptop with a keyboard attached.
