Samsung Galaxy S8 Bixby button can be reconfigured to launch different App

Samsung recently launched its Flagship Galaxy Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. With the Galaxy S8, the company has made a major change over with edge to edge display making it look awesome. The phone is built with the latest Snapdragon 825 chipset inside to make the device but only look better but also perform better. Apart from this Samsung have also concentrated on the software part and they have come up with the Bixby, the AI assistant. The Bixby on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus does the same job as the Google Assistance. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus even comes with the dedicated button on the left to launch the Bixby App.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Bixby button can be reconfigured to launch different App

The latest video on the internet shows that you can reconfigure the Bixby button to launch some other Apps like Google Assistance or whatever App you like. This can be done by using a simple App called ” All in one Gestures ” which is available in Google Play store for free of cost. Here is the video posted by Homeguy123 ( a Reddit user) shows the opening of Google Assistance by clicking the Bixby button.

Even a tutorial on XDA Developers forum has been posted on How to Remap the Bixby Button on the Galaxy S8/S8+ to Launch Google Assistant. Even on the latest MKBHD‘s video ” Hello Samsung”, he mentioned that it would be awesome if Samsung allows remapping the dedicated Bixby button to launch any other of our choice. Earlier he also tweeted saying that

“First one that makes an app to remap the Bixby button on the Galaxy S8 to Google Assistsnt wins my $$$”

In less time the loophole was found and remapped the Bixby button successful using a free App. Now the question is will Samsung come up with any update to fix this loophole to stop people from reconfiguring the button instead of Bixby? Let’s wait and watch.
